Hidden inside a charming historic log cabin near the Nevada-California state line, Soule Domain has long been considered one of North Lake Tahoe’s signature dining experiences. Smoke Door – Lake Tahoe Saryo
One of the newest additions to the North Shore dining scene has quickly become one of its most talked-about. Smoke Door offers an intimate Japanese-inspired dining experience centered around traditional wood-fire cooking and beautifully prepared seasonal ingredients.
While its mailing address is Kings Beach, it’s just steps from Crystal Bay and has already established itself as one of the most unique culinary experiences in the Tahoe Basin. For adventurous food lovers, it’s an absolute must.
Le Bistro
For elegant French-inspired cuisine in a warm, intimate setting, Le Bistro continues to be one of Incline Village’s hidden gems. The beautifully designed space, creative menu, exceptional cocktails, and consistently outstanding service have earned it a loyal following among both locals and visitors. It’s sophisticated without being stuffy and equally well suited for date night, entertaining guests, or simply enjoying an outstanding meal.
Big Water Grille Bar & Lounge
You don’t have to reserve the main dining room to enjoy one of the best views in Tahoe. The bar and lounge at Big Water Grille offers the same panoramic lake vistas in a more relaxed setting, making it one of our favorite places for cocktails, appetizers, or a casual dinner while watching the sun set over Lake Tahoe.
Sage Leaf Tahoe
Sage Leaf Tahoe has become a favorite for diners looking for elevated American cuisine in a warm, contemporary setting. The menu showcases seasonal ingredients, thoughtfully prepared dishes, and an excellent wine and cocktail program, making it equally well suited for date nights, business dinners, or an evening with friends.

Tunnel Creek Café

One of our favorite mornings is grabbing coffee and breakfast before taking a walk on the East Shore Trail. It’s one of the best ways to experience Lake Tahoe before the crowds arrive, and it’s a tradition we recommend to anyone visiting Incline Village.

Perched high above Incline Village, Big Water Grille is arguably the area’s premier restaurant for panoramic lake views. Large windows frame the sparkling waters of Lake Tahoe, while the outdoor patio is one of our favorite places to enjoy a summer evening. Whether you’re stopping in for dinner, cocktails in the bar, or simply watching the sunset, it’s difficult to find a better vantage point.
The Grille at The Chateau
While it doesn’t overlook the lake, The Grille offers beautiful views across the Championship Golf Course and surrounding Sierra landscape. It’s a peaceful setting for lunch, a casual dinner, or relaxing on the patio after a round of golf.
Spindleshanks Tahoe
Located at the Tahoe City Marina, Spindleshanks pairs a relaxed atmosphere with beautiful waterfront views. During the summer months, it’s hard to beat sitting outside and watching boats come and go while enjoying lunch or dinner just steps from the lake.
Gar Woods Grill & Pier
Just a short drive south in Carnelian Bay, Gar Woods remains one of Lake Tahoe’s iconic waterfront restaurants. The expansive deck, lively atmosphere, and famous Wet Woody cocktails have made it a favorite gathering place for generations of Tahoe visitors and locals alike.
